Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley Releases Statement Responding to FBI Arrest of Suspects in Firebombing of Costa Mesa Planned Parenthood Clinic in 2022

ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley, the former Mayor of Costa Mesa and former Board Member of Planned Parenthood Orange & San Bernardino Counties, released a statement following this morning’s announcement by the United States Department of Justice of the arrest of two suspects, including an active-duty Marine, in the 2022 firebombing of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Costa Mesa.

“I want to thank the FBI, local law enforcement, and the Department of Justice, for apprehending these suspects who brazenly targeted our local Planned Parenthood Clinic,” said Supervisor Katrina Foley. “Reproductive health facilities, especially those operated by Planned Parenthood, experienced an increase in violent threats and attacks after the Dobbs decision. No one should feel unsafe while seeking qualified medical care. We will not tolerate violence against women and vulnerable communities nor stay silent as they experience a sharp rise in violence in the past several years.”

This is her second term on the Board of Supervisors, where she previously served District 2.
