Supervisor Katrina Foley Responds to the Completion of the Sexual Assault Kit DNA Backlog in Orange County

Orange County, California – Today, Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley commented on the news that most of the backlogged sexual assault kits have been processed by the Office of the District Attorney after inviting District Attorney Spitzer to speak at the Board meeting to give an update.

“When I first joined the Board, Orange County had thousands of backlogged rape kits dating back to the 1990s. One year later and our county has finally cleared these kits to bring justice to sexual assault victims. Under my watch we will never allow this unconscionable delay of justice for rape victims again.”
