Supervisor Foley Statement on Arrest of Two Suspects in Aiden Leos Case

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – June 6th, 2021

SANTA ANA – Supervisor Katrina Foley (District 2) released the following statement in response to the arrest of two suspects in the May 21st, 2021, shooting death of six-year-old Aiden Leos:

“I am so thankful for this critical break in the Aiden Leos case. The continued persistence of the CHP, the District Attorney, and the hundreds of tips from our community, have directly led to the arrest of these two individuals today. I hope this development helps bring some measure of justice and peace to the Cloonan and Leos families, and those in our communities mourning Aiden’s loss.

Three families have been unnecessarily torn apart and a beautiful little boy is now gone, all over a lane change. We must demand justice and accountability for such hate and lack of self-control.

Thank you to Supervisor Wagner, the City of Costa Mesa, and the Orange County business community for stepping up and supporting the reward for finding Aiden’s killers. This act of solidarity helped encourage continued attention and focus on this case, leading directly to today’s arrest. This is a reminder of the power of a community that supports each other and works together.”
