ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA – Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley announced major public safety investments made during the latest Board of Supervisors meeting. The Board approved grant awards for probation mobile support services, to update law enforcement boating safety equipment, and to combat the rise of organized retail theft in the region.

ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley commented on yesterday’s Board of Supervisors meeting where the Board approved major infrastructure projects in the Fifth District, including an $88 million expansion project at the Prima Deshecha Landfill and renovation projects at Aliso Viejo Library and Dana Point Library. The board also secured more than $7 million in grant awards to support healthy newborns, $5 million for lead poisoning prevention, and over $30 million to provide housing and supportive services to individuals experiencing homeles

OC Supervisor Katrina Foley Delivers Funding for Transportation Projects and Safe Routes to School

ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Today, Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley, who serves as a Director of the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), delivered funding for transportation projects throughout the Fifth District, including the acceptance of an $850,000 grant that will support the Safe Travels Education Program (STEP) Campaign. STEP provides select school in Orange County with free resources to encourage walking and biking safely to school.

ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Today, Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley joined the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) and California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara for a wildfire demonstration to show the effectiveness of science-backed wildfire mitigation actions homeowners can take to protect their property. During the demonstration, OCFA firefighters simulated conditions of a home catching fire with winds going 10 mph.

Gloria Johnson, et al. as it heads to the Supreme Court, approved the purchase of equipment for Harbor Patrol, and responded to grand jury reports regarding fentanyl and human trafficking.
