Supervisor Bartlett Champions Efforts to Expand Anti-Hate Work in OC  12/14/21:  The Board of Supervisors, by a unanimous vote of those present, reaffirmed its commitment to eradicating hate when it approved a $1 million contract with the Orange County Human Relations Council. CSAC Annual Meeting 12/08/21: Last week, I had the pleasure of representing Orange County at the 127th Annual California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Annual Meeting, where we discussed everything from housing, land-use and transportation to county plans for ARPA funds. Having served as President (2020) and Immediate Past-President (2021) I was honored to be elected by my peers to represent urban counties on the CSAC Executive Committee. Redistricting

Redistricting Update  12/07/21:  On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, the Board of Supervisors adopted the ordinance identifying new District boundaries for all five supervisorial districts in accordance with the Board approved Map 5A-1. The ordinance takes effect 30 days after adoption on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Thank you to everyone who participated in the process. South County Improvements

South County I-5 Freeway Widening Project 11/22/21: If you live in South County and travel along the I-5, navigating your way to and from the freeway these days can be challenging with traffic volume returning to pre-pandemic levels and ongoing construction of the I-5 Freeway Widening Project. As a member of the OCTA Board, I strongly advocated for the much-needed widening project to keep South County moving, but how do we minimize the challenging effects that often accompany traffic-improvement projects?
